Not only ski fields look nice! Matukituki valley, Tititea and Wanaka are great climbing places, you will spend around 3-4 hours to challenging with snow but the view at over there are unforgettable.

The Hooker Lake Frozen In Mt Cook, the lake is only 90 minutes walk from the white Horse carpark which makes it the flawless location for a winter stroll, even with snow.

At night you are able to see the very beautiful Milky Way rise behind the lighthouse. The perfect! Winter is the best time to spot the aurora australis and this location has open views towards the south were the aurora is able to see. So why won’t you visit New Zealand in winter once in a lifetime?
