Incredibly Colorful of The Extinct Dodo Bird

Ever heard of the Nicobar pigeon? It’s the nearest living relative to the extinct wingless Dodo bird, and it’s absolutely beautiful.
Even though they’re relatives, The Nicobar pigeon appearance nothing just like the Dodo. one of their differences is the Nicobar’s luminous colors. it’s reddish legs, a white tail, and is covered in blue, copper, and green feathers. the explanation for the birds’ colorful characteristics is their location – coastal regions from the Nicobar Islands and little islands, where there aren’t several natural predators that the birds would wish to conceal themselves from. according to the IUCN, the Nicobar pigeon is considered “near threatened”.
