Mihaela Noroc said goodbye to her work because she felt unhappy, grabbed a camera and began a new life to travel. Her project “The Atlas of Beauty” is an ode to the diversity and beauty that exists in our world.
In this project, turned into a book, Mihaela Noroc, a 32-year-old Romanian photographer, spent her last four traveling around the world in different countries , in search of the diversity that exists in women’s beauty through portraits of women.
“Beauty is everywhere and it is not a question of make-up or sizes, it boils down to being yourself. Global brands make us see and behave in the same way, but we are all beautiful because we are different. At the end of the day, beauty lies in the spectator’s eye. And the viewer is always someone different, “he explains.
From Afghanistan to Tibet, Noroc captures the essence of women from different cultures. The book “The Atlas of Beauty” was released on September 26 and has more than 500 photographs in more than 50 countries, the result of many years of work.
“Beauty lies in the singular, in the difference of being yourself, natural and authentic, and not go in the flow of fads because of social status issues,” believes the photographer.
